Chelsie Oelschlager, the creator of Creative Origin, was born in Illinois but lived in Wisconsin and Germany for a short period of time before moving to Louisiana, which she calls her home. In 2010 she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from Louisiana State University. Her graphic design work has more recently branched out into the web world.

In her recent employment as an in-house graphic designer with a creative photo company, she worked one-on-one with walk-in clients and met face-to-face with businesses needing printed materials and website maintenance/graphics. She worked closely with the press operator to format and send jobs to production, running her own design work on a konika minolta press. As head of marketing for this business, she lead the design and implementation of marketing collateral for the store and the website. She wore many hats with the company and learned to manage a heavy work flow in a timely efficient manner, with a high satisfaction rate for both her clients and for the business. She also worked in a pre-press department for a local printing company were she was an in-house graphic designer. She designed printed collateral for design clients, and formatted and prepared incoming files for print production.

Along with holding these positions, Chelsie Oelschlager has maintained her own freelance client base since 2009.
